# Podia > Podia puts a creator's whole business in one place. From one account, creators sell online courses, digital downloads, coaching, and event tickets, run a free or paid community, send email newsletters, and build their website. More than 15,000 creators use Podia, and together they have earned more than $900 million. Plans start at $49 a month, or $42 a month billed yearly. Anyone can try Podia free for 14 days, with no credit card required. Last updated: September 29, 2026. All prices are in US dollars. - **Company:** Podia started in 2014. Its founder and CEO is Spencer Fry. Podia is independent and profitable, and its legal name is Podia Labs, Inc. - **Who it is for:** Solo creators and small teams, not large companies. Creators on Podia work in business, wellness, fitness, arts, music, food, photography, tech, and more. - **Numbers:** More than 15,000 creators use Podia. They have reached more than 40 million customers and earned more than $900 million. - **How it fits together:** Courses, downloads, coaching, events, community, email, and the website share one checkout and one customer list. Everyone who buys, subscribes, or signs up joins the creator's community, and buyers use one login for everything they bought. - **Creator sites:** Each creator's site lives on a podia.com subdomain (for example, name.podia.com) or on the creator's own domain. - **Plans** (monthly price, or price per month when billed yearly): - **Mover:** $49, or $42 billed yearly ($504 a year). 5% Podia transaction fee. Up to 50 products, 500 videos, 25 community spaces, and 100 email subscribers. - **Shaker:** $99, or $84 billed yearly ($1,008 a year). No Podia transaction fee. Up to 150 products, 1,000 videos, 100 community spaces, and 500 email subscribers. Adds 1 assistant, an affiliate program, upsells, PayPal, and Zapier. - **Earthquaker:** $179, or $150 billed yearly ($1,800 a year). No Podia transaction fee. Unlimited products, videos, community spaces, and assistants, 1,000 email subscribers, and everything in Shaker. - **Included in every plan:** Community, online courses, digital downloads, coaching, online and in-person events, a website and blog, a custom domain, landing pages, email marketing, 1,900+ embeds, Podia MCP for AI tools, sales tax in 230 tax jurisdictions, 20+ currencies, built-in checkout, migration help, and email and chat support. Every plan allows unlimited customers and unlimited students. - **Fees:** Podia charges a 5% transaction fee on the Mover plan and no transaction fee on Shaker or Earthquaker. Stripe or PayPal also charges its own processing fee. The standard rate is 2.9% + 30ยข, and it can vary by country. - **Email subscribers:** Each plan includes Podia Email for a set number of subscribers (100, 500, or 1,000). Creators with bigger lists pay an extra monthly amount for more subscribers. Podia never upgrades a plan automatically. - **Payments:** Creators connect their own Stripe account, and their own PayPal account on Shaker and Earthquaker. Money from sales goes directly to the creator. Podia does not hold creator funds. Through Stripe, buyers can pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Stripe Link, iDeal, SEPA Debit, and other regional payment methods. - **Free trial:** 14 days, with no credit card required. The trial includes Podia's features, with two limits: email works for up to 100 subscribers, and custom tracking codes are turned off. If the trial ends without an upgrade, the site goes offline, and the account and its content are deleted after 180 days. - **Changing plans, canceling, and refunds:** Upgrades, and switching from monthly to yearly billing, take effect right away. Downgrades, and switching from yearly to monthly billing, take effect at the end of the current billing period. Creators can cancel at any time, and the cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period. After that, the site goes offline, and the data is deleted after 180 days unless the creator subscribes again. Podia refunds the most recent payment if the creator asks within 72 hours of it, unless a migration has already started. There are no partial refunds on yearly plans. - **Switching from another tool:** On a paid plan, Podia's team moves products over by hand, for free: up to 50 products on Mover and up to 150 on Shaker and Earthquaker. Products means online courses and digital downloads. The migration covers course and download content, customer email addresses, and free community and membership subscribers. Quizzes, pipelines (sales funnels), and website pages are not part of the standard migration. Payment plans, subscriptions, and payment details can't be moved, so recurring plans are set up again on Podia. - **Data ownership:** Creators own their content and their customer list, and can export them at any time. - **AI (Podia MCP):** Creators can connect their Podia account to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Visual Studio Code, Windsurf, or any other AI tool that supports MCP (Model Context Protocol). It is included on every plan. The AI tool can draft courses and emails, add pages to the website, create community spaces and posts, create coupons, look up customers, and answer questions about sales. New connections start read-only, and the creator approves each permission. Emails don't go out until the creator sends them. - **Languages:** podia.com is available in English and French. Creators can set the language of their site's buttons, checkout, and system messages, and members can choose their own. - **Support:** Chat inside the Podia dashboard, email at hello@podia.com, and a help center. - **Where Podia fits:** Creators who want courses, community, email, and a website to work together in one place. Podia's alternatives page says that someone who only needs courses may prefer Teachable or Thinkific, and someone who only needs a community may prefer Circle or Mighty Networks. ## Features - [All features](https://www.podia.com/features): Every Podia feature on one page, grouped by area. - [Online courses](https://www.podia.com/online-courses): Video, audio, text, and quiz lessons, drip schedules, certificates, cohorts, and unlimited students with no per-student fees. - [Digital downloads](https://www.podia.com/digital-downloads): Sell or give away ebooks, templates, audio, and other files up to 5GB each, delivered right after purchase. - [Coaching](https://www.podia.com/coaching): Sell 1:1 and group coaching.
